In a game that will have huge implications for the league championship, the Hillmen (5-2, 2-0) will face off against Bear River (6-1, 2-0) in PVL showdown tonight at at LeFebvre Stadium. The Bruins who feature a strong defense and a grind it out offense are riding a six-game winning streak entering Friday night’s contest. Placer is coming off a blowout victory last week against Foothill and is averaging 59.6 points per game since a season opening loss to Nevada Union. The winner of tonight’s battle will have the inside track to the PVL championship. The Hillmen are seeking their third straight PVL banner this year, while Bear River is looking for their first since 2005. The game will kick off at 7:30pm. The JV game starts at 5:15pm.
