On Friday night, the Hillmen were among several area football teams to honor slain officers Michael Davis Jr. and Danny Oliver by wearing a helmet sticker of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office badge crossed with a mourning band Friday night. Davis Jr. a Placer County sherrif’s deputy, and Oliver a Sac County sherrif’s deputy were shot and killed in the line of duty Friday, October 24th. Colfax, Lincoln, and Del Oro also wore the patches in memory of the fallen deputies. To read more, check out the article in today’s Auburn Journal!
