On behalf of the entire Placer program, welcome to Hillmen football! Placer football has a storied history filled with rich traditions, passionate fans, and the reputation of being one of the best programs in Northern California. We believe playing football on the Hill will be some of your best high school experiences, and we can’t wait to work with you!
Every year, incoming freshman parents and players have questions about what to expect, schedules, important information, etc. We wanted to provide some basic information so we can get everyone going in the right direction.
Important Dates & Information
✅ June 9-26th (Monday – Thursday) | 3:30-6:30pm: Frosh Football Camp. The coaches will work with your schedule (and All-Star baseball), but the more your athlete can attend, the better for their progression as a player. Think of it as early practice rather than camp.

Parent Volunteer Expectations
Hillmen Football thrives because of the incredible support from our families! Throughout the season, parents will be asked to volunteer at the Snack Bar and Promo Booth during JV & Varsity home games. The funds raised contribute directly to nutrition, team meals, safety equipment, and program needs. We cannot do this without you, so when sign-ups come out, please take care of your slots early and help us make this a great experience for all players!
Stay Connected
For in-season communication, updates, and schedules, please join our Frosh Football BAND app. This will be our main platform for team updates throughout the season.
We are so excited to work with your child at Placer, and their time here will be a life-changing experience. If your child is interested in playing football this fall, please email our Frosh Head Coach, Jim Packheiser, at [email protected].
Thank you and Go Hillmen!!
