Frosh Welcome Letter

Hello Future Hillmen Football Players and Parents,

On behalf of the entire Placer program, welcome to Hillmen football! Placer football has a storied history filled with rich traditions, passionate fans, and the reputation of being one of the best programs in Northern California. We believe playing football on the Hill will be some of your best high school experiences, and can’t wait to work with you!

Every year, incoming freshman parents and players have questions about what to expect, schedule, important information, etc. We wanted to provide some basic information so we can get everyone going in the right direction.

Incoming Freshmen Football Camp Session. Click Here for the Consent Form & Payment Details. Turn into the office or bring the completed form & check on the first day of camp.

*June 10-27th (Monday – Thursday) from 3:30-6pm: Frosh Football Camp. The coaches will work with your schedule (and all star baseball), but the more your athlete can be there the better for their progression as a player ( It’s better to think of it as early practice rather than camp).

*June 11: Card fundraiser handed out. Details will be given that week.

*July 29: First official day of “fall” practice. Players must be cleared online, and this is done on our athletic website through Placer athletics. Practice will be at 3pm, and we will meet in the stadium the first day as a program with just the players and the coaches. https://www.gohillmen.com/

*August 1: Parent meeting in the auditorium at 6:30pm. We will cover every important detail that will need to be covered for the season. Booster club questions, playing time, how are things paid for, the coaching staff, details, etc.

*August 3: Stuff the helmet fundraiser (covered in parent meeting) Times TBA but typically in the morning.

*August 10th: Green and Gold scrimmage/picture day starting at 10am

*August 11: Kickoff Dinner

*August 16th: Scrimmage at Rocklin HS at 4pm.

*August 22: First game at Home at 6pm vs Casa Roble

We are so excited to work with your son/daughter at Placer, and their time here will be a life changing experience. If your child is interested in playing football this fall please email our Frosh Head Coach Jim Packheiser at jimpackheiser@yahoo.com

Thank you and Go Hillmen!!
